Povertà alimentare: si tratta di una vera emergenza sociale. Infatti, con un ISEE di soli 10.000 euro, un nucleo familiare a Roma e nel Lazio rischia di non potersi permettere l’acquisto di prodotti alimentari sani e di qualità. La Cgil Roma e Lazio ha lanciato un appello, in base a uno studio compiuto da Federconsumatori sull’aumento dei prezzi di una determinata lista di alimenti.
Caro vita: si spende di più, ma nel carrello c’è poco
Nei primi sei mesi del 2023 la vendita dei beni alimentari, secondo Istat, è cresciuta del 7,3% e la quantità venduta è calata del 4,5%. Si è speso di più per comprare meno. Il caro vita dovuto all’aumento della benzina e quindi dei trasporti ha reso più difficile fare i conti anche in cassa, soprattutto per chi ha un budget per la spesa molto ridotto a causa di stipendi bassi, disoccupazione, interruzione dei sussidi statali.
“Se le famiglie con una maggiore stabilità, davanti ad un rialzo così importante dei prezzi – commenta la Cgil regionale – hanno potuto contenere la spesa alimentare rivolgendosi a catene commerciali più economiche, chi quella stabilità non ce l’ha non ha avuto alternativa. I discount, noti per la loro convenienza, hanno infatti registrato la più alta variazione del valore delle vendite con un +9,4%”.
Pasta, riso, pane e olio: impennata dei prezzi
Alcuni prodotti base, tra quelli più importanti, stanno da tempo registrando aumenti importanti: il pane +32%, la pasta +39%, riso +33%, olio di semi di girasole +17%. “Il risultato è che le famiglie più povere hanno dovuto tagliare sia sulla quantità – continua il sindacato – e sulla varietà dei prodotti alimentari, smettendo di acquistare determinati alimenti dal costo più elevato. All’inaccessibilità economica a fonti di cibo sano e conveniente, nel nostro territorio, si aggiunge anche quella fisica”.
Il 22% delle famiglie rischia la povertà alimentare
In base alle dichiarazioni ISEE analizzate da Cgil, il 22% delle famiglie del Lazio rischia la povertà alimentare. Secondo una precedente analisi del sindacato, nel 2021 oltre 640.000 nuclei familiari a Roma e provincia hanno chiesto il bonus energetico, avendo un ISEE massimo di 12.000 euro.
